The issue with soft carriers for cats is that they are very difficult to use with feisty cats. The zippers can give out, claws can catch and tear fabric or mesh, they are not easy to clean if a cat had an accident. The trouble with hard shell ones, they tiny side doors are difficult to get a cat into but it is doable. The top loaders are never well designed since handles are attached to the doors putting too much stress on the plastic hinge attachment, particularly when a cat is moving around and/or a larger cat. I have yet to find one that is infallible.

Informative. I’m traveling the US for 3 months and looking for a good Car carrier. I was surprised no mention of measuring the Length of one’s cat. All the research I read suggests doing so for long car and plane travel so that they’re not stuck in one position for extended periods of time. The Mr. Peanut company expresses this importance when choosing their products.

Hi!
Thanks for all the amazing research and content you put out! I really appreciate it!
I am looking for a carrier for my cats but the ones you have mentioned are either not available where I am, or are too expensive. Would I be able to email you some questions and examples?
I really value your opinion and would love your insights
