Did you ever get this answer? I'd be interested in knowing if the change in formulation added more potential allergens

Hello!
First of all, sorry for my grammar, English is not my first language and I am rusty!
I’m a real fan of your reviews and everything on your Website.
But, it’s a shame that you don’t include anywhere a review about Nutrience “Care” line! We can found it in Canada in wet and dry food and almost everything in it seems legit. It is possible to look into it?
My two Main Coon LOVE the dental Care kibbles because they are bigger from any other dry food and my vet asked me about my dental routine with them because their teeth are very nice for cats that never had a vet dental cleanse at their age. It’s more than a bonus from those kibbles!
About the wet food, they need some urinary help and if they don’t digest a formula it’s obvious in the litter box! So I use the urinary Care’s one mixed with some Blue Buffalo digestive formula (younger they only eaten Blue Buffalo food but while they got bigger, they rejected the kibbles and some wet food with too much fish in it. They prefer wild meat or human grade chicken).
I’m in the process to rethink their food and treats with my vet to meet what they need now (they had some heath issues in the last year after someone else catsitter them while I was hospitalized, and it’s obvious that their “guardian” was not a good one. Imagine my pain when I got my furry children back, so difficult, I felt guilty…).
Anyway! I will be really grateful if you could look into all the Care line from Nutrience!
Thanks a lot. 😸

Will you be changing your review after the new "rebranding" of the sub zero line? They did the shrink flation approach by decreasing bag sizes and changing out some of the heart and liver ingredients with peas and pea protein. Very disheartening as I had my cat on this food. Thank you so much for all your reviews, they are very insightful!

I'm not sure where you heard that! Taurine is an essential amino acid that must be added to cat food for your cat's health. Cat food without added taurine is considered nutritionally inadequate and can cause heart problems and other issues. In fact, before we knew that cats required supplemental taurine in their diets, it's believed that tens of thousands of cats died of heart disease each year as a result of incomplete diets. This article from 1987 sheds light on the matter.

Hey Christine, thanks for the question, and I apologize for the delayed response! Hope you're doing well. Open Farm foods get overall higher ratings due to their "ethical" sourcing and superior transparency compared to other brands. The company also offers full typical nutrient analyses, which Nutrience also does. These considerations weigh into the way that the individual products are rated.
