I've found their kibble to be one of the best and most digestible for my cat, who is prone to vomiting. She never vomits on this.
In reply to <a href="https://cats.com/only-natural-pet-cat-food-review#comment-40382">Sarah</a>.

Hi Sarah, I can't say that Only Natural Pet dry cat food would help to aid in urinary tract health. It may improve your cat's overall health compared to a higher-carb, less meat-rich product, but it doesn't promise to reduce your cat's chances of developing cystitis.

I might consider opting for a prescription/veterinary diet formulated for cats with urinary tract health issues. These foods are made with cats like yours in mind and have urinary health-optimized pH levels among other qualities that can help to keep everything working smoothly—though, as you know, they're still not ideal due to their inadequate moisture content. If you decide to take this route, you'll need to consult with a vet to determine which formula is appropriate for your cat's specific needs.

Hello! thanks for your review! I am looking for a dry food that I can give to my cat who is prone to cystitis. I feed him a mixture of wet and dry food, and like to make sure any food he gets is going to help keep him peeing (as much as a dry food can). do you know if this food would aid in urinary health? in relation to other dry foods, at least.

Hi Rebecca,

Thanks for sharing your experience with Only Natural Pet's chicken kibble.

I'm thinking that your kitties might need a little more time to adjust to the new food. Since it apparently happened to both of them at the same time and the Nutro and Only Natural Pet foods share a lot of ingredients in common, it doesn't sound like the food is disagreeing with them—it's just interacting with their gut bacteria a little bit differently.

You might want to try it out just in case, but remember that Only Natural Pet's rabbit kibble contains chicken, turkey, and legumes just like the chicken formula. Since the two recipes share so many ingredients, I'm not sure that switching to the rabbit would make a difference.

As long they're eating normally, their stool looks normal, and they aren't showing any signs of distress, the new smell probably doesn't mean that you need to change your cats' diet. You may want to give your cats a couple more weeks to acclimate to the new food and, if the odor continues to bother you, consider switching to another product.

If possible, I'd recommend trying a cleaner, meatier diet—perhaps something canned or freeze-dried. When it comes to reducing fecal odors, these foods tend to do the best job.

Hope this helps,

My kitties are on the Only Natural Chicken kibble. They poop is horrific smelling. They were on Nutro weight management but was thinking these ingredients were better.
